Steel grade pig iron price in Durgapur remained strong & is currently trading over 2 year-high on account of a supply shortage as well as strong demand from north-east buyers. The current offers stand at INR 30,500-600/t exw Durgapur. Trade sources are hopeful that prices may remain supported looking to tight supply & strengthening scrap and raw materials prices.
