Eastern India-based mill concludes around 4,000 t pig iron deal

India’s one of the largest steel producers concluded a deal for 4,000 t of steel grade pig iron at around INR 46,500/t exw-Odisha. The material will be loaded for West Bengal, which is equivalent to INR 47,200-47,400/t DAP Durgapur basis. Meanwhile, plants in Durgapur are offering the same at INR 47,500-48,000/t on exw basis, higher by around INR 300-500/t, w-o-w, as per SteelMint’s assessment.
