Dry bulk coal freights to India rise w-o-w even as fixtures stay subdued

Dry bulk coal freight rates to India for Supramax & Panamax were mostly higher w-o-w, though activity in the Indian Ocean remained subdued. Meanwhile, bunker prices eased slightly d-o-d after the recent rally.

• Hay Point-Paradip: Freights stood at $16.50/dmt (+$1.5/dmt w-o-w)
• RBCT-Paradip: Rates were assessed at $14.40/dmt (+$0.7/dmt w-o-w)
• East Kalimantan-Navlakhi: Freights were assessed at $11/dmt (+$0.4/dmt w-o-w)
