Domestic Iron Ore Prices for Mar’16

Odisha: Few Odisha merchant miners raised iron ore prices over state govt’s notification of submission of District Mineral Fund (DMF) and National Mineral Exploration Trust (NMET).

Chhattisgarh: NMDC increased iron ore prices over rise in global iron ore prices and costlier imports.

Karnataka: Till e-auctions conducted on 4th Mar’16 by private miners prices have remained as follows-Bid price of lump (Fe 60.1) is at INR 1,345/MT and for fines (Fe 60.1) it is at INR 1,090/MT (Weighted average grade & prices (basic) in INR/MT.

Goa: The state did not witness any e-auction in last two months. And by far in Mar’16 also no e-auction has been held so far. However Goa DMG has notified for immediate auction of entire balance quantity i.e. 7.76 MnT via 15th e-auction.
