Odisha: Odisha based merchant miners are maintaining the same offers as of now except Essel Mining & Industries which has recently cut iron ore prices by INR 150/MT. As per market participants, there are less chances of price cut in lump as market has recovered in last 1 week. However, looking at increased inventory of fines with miners, prices of fines may see some reduction.

Karnataka: In the e-auctions conducted till 04 Feb’16, iron ore prices are as follows:
Private miners: Bid prices for lump (Fe 61.1) stood at INR 1,250/MT and for fines (Fe 62.3) was at INR 1,365/MT. Karnataka e-auction prices (basic) and grade are weighted average
Goa: The month of Jan’16 did not notice any iron ore e-auctions in Goa. And in Feb’16 (till date) there is by far no notification for e-auction in this month. Indian mines ministry has urged finance ministry for removal of export duty on low grade (below Fe 58%) extracted from Goa which is currently at 10%.
