Technology provider Danieli has received an order from Ukraine’s leading steel producer Metinvest Group for supply of a cold-rolled, galvanised and colour-coated coil production complex. The 1.6 mn t/year cold strip mill will be housed at the steel producer’s Ilyich steelworks. The mill will produce 600,000 t of galvanised coils and over 170,000 t of polymer-coated coils per year for the domestic and European construction and automotive markets. The first coil from the complex is expected to be produced by Q3 2024.
