Indian Semis & finished long steel prices registered volatility by INR 100-300/MT on day trade activities owing to average inquires.
SteelMint’s latest price assessment for induction furnaces billet in Indian market stood at INR 27,500-31,300/MT (USD 398-454) ex-plant.
Further, the coal based sponge (78-80 FeM) C-DRI price assessment was at INR 16,700-17,800/MT (USD 242-258); prices are ex-plant & excluding GST.
Rupee & BSE Sensex
— On 27th June 2019 (Thursday) INR to USD exchange rate stood at INR 69.07.
— ICEX (Indian Commodity Exchange Ltd) Jul’19 contract for STEELLONG today open at INR 30,400/MT & last traded (IST 18:28) at INR 30,100/MT.
— BSE Sensex closed at 39,586(-5) on Thursday, as against last day (Wednesday) at 39,592(+157).
— NSE Nifty50 index was closed today at 11,841(-6) & Nifty Metal at 3,014(-8).
Raw Materials
— Central India based pellet maker concludes 50,000 MT export deal to China USD 130/MT CFR. Another deal reported by east India based pellet maker for standard grade pellets at USD 133-134/MT, CFR China.
— MMTC, India’s largest and state-owned trading house, issued a tender for the sale of 15,000 MT coking coal. The due date for submitting the bids is 02 July’19.
— Melting scrap offers in Western India- Gujarat incline by INR 400/MT in a day trade activities.
Semi Finished
— RINL has invited a tender for export of 30,000 MT Billets and 20,000 MT Bloom. The due date for bid submission is 02 Jul’19.
— Ludhiana, North India based trade participants reported steel & foundry grade pig iron offers at INR 29,000-29,100/MT & INR 32,000/MT on FoR basis & excluding 18% GST.
— Neo Metaliks in Durgapur is offering steel grade pig iron at INR 27,000/MT ex-plant.
— Aloke Steel Industries (Jharkhand) offered Fem 78-80 C-DRI lumps at INR 17,600/MT & Sponge mix material (60:40) at INR 17,300/MT ex-plant.
— Rashmi Metaliks in Durgapur increased sponge P-DRI prices by INR 100-200/MT to INR 16,900-17,000/MT, as per sources.
— Raipur, Central India based integrated plants offering Sponge P-DRI at INR 16,300-16,400/MT & Sponge DR CLO grade at INR 18,300-18,400/MT ex-plant.
— Raigarh based Singhal Steel offered P-DRI at INR 16,000/MT & Billet at INR 27,700-27,800/MT ex-Raigarh, officials reported.
— East India, Odisha based manufacturer, Mahavir Ferro Alloys offered Billet & C-DRI mix material at INR 27,800/MT & INR 16,800/MT ex-plant as per officials.
— Bhaskar Steel and Ferro Alloy Ltd, an Odisha based plant offered FeM 80 C-DRI at INR 16,700/MT & Billet at INR 27,600/MT ex-plant.
— BIOP Steels in South India has offered FeM 80 & 82 C-DRI lumps at INR 16,900/MT & INR 17,300/MT ex-plant, Karnataka; an official reported.
— Apple Industries in Bellary (Karnataka) offered Sponge FeM 83+ P-DRI lump at INR 17,900/MT & Billet at INR 29,100/MT ex-plant.
— BMM Ispat, a renowned sponge manufacturer offered FeM 80 P-DRI lumps at INR 16,800/MT ex-Bellary, an official reported.
Wire Rod & Pipe
— Trade discounts in Raipur Wire rod(Size 5.5 MM) hovering at INR 1,200-1,400/MT amid steady base price at INR 34,500/MT ex-plant.
— Raipur, Central India based ERW pipe manufacturers offers reported at around INR 35,500/MT ex-plant & excluding GST.
Rebar (12 mm)
— Rathi Steels based in North region is currently offering at INR 36,600/MT ex-Delhi. (Up by INR 200/MT).
— Raipur based – SPEED TMT has unchanged their offer at INR 32,600/MT.
— Real Ispat (GK TMT) has unaltered their offer at INR 35,300/MT.
— Raigarh based N.R Ispat & Power Pvt. Ltd (N.R TMT) is offering at INR 32,500/MT (down by INR 100/MT).
— Raigarh based Anjani Steels Ltd. (Radhe TMT) is offering at INR 32,800/MT(down by INR 100/MT).
— Jalna based Bhagyalaxmi Rolling Mill Pvt Ltd (Polaad TMT) is offering at INR 33,500/MT(down by INR 300/MT)
