Indian Semis prices remains volatile on subdued trade inquiries. As per SteelMint assessment the prices of billet have fluctuated by INR 100-300/MT, while sponge offers rise by INR 100-500/MT D-o-D.
SteelMint’s latest price assessment for induction furnaces billet in Indian market stood at INR 36,400-39,000/MT (USD 506-543) ex-plant.
Further, the coal based sponge (78-80 FeM) C-DRI price assessment was at INR 24,100-26,700/MT (USD 335-372); prices are ex-plant & excluding GST.
Rupee & BSE Sensex
— On 7th September 2018 (Friday) INR to USD exchange rate stood at INR 71.83
— BSE Sensex closed at 38,389(+147) on Friday, as against last day (Thursday) at 38,242 (+244).
Raw Materials
— NMDC (C.G) has announced price revision today. The miner has increased Baila fines prices by INR 150/MT, lumps by INR 200/MT, ROM by INR 190/MT and DR-CLO by INR 370/MT.
— Central India (Raipur ) pellet prices increased to INR 9,800/MT (basic, GST extra)
— Melting scrap offers in Western India- Gujarat decline by INR 500/MT in a day trade activities.
— The latest price for the Premium HCC grade is assessed at around USD 189/MT FoB Australia
Semi Finished
— Indian sponge iron export offers to Bangladesh price assessment for lumps of grade FeM 78-80, recorded at USD 370-375/MT CPT Benapole (dry land port of Bangladesh & India) and USD 390-395/MT CFR Chittagong, Bangladesh.
— Raipur, Central India based Integrated plants offering Sponge P-DRI at INR 25,200-25,400/MT & Sponge DR CLO grade at INR 27,500-27,700/MT ex-plant
— Bhaskar Steel and Ferro Alloy Ltd, an Odisha based plant offered FeM 80 C-DRI at INR 25,300/MT & Billet at INR 36,300-36,400/MT ex-plant.
— BMM Ispat in South India has increased their offers and reported FeM 80 P-DRI at INR 23,800/MT ex-Bellary, Karnataka. Officials mentioned that they have sold good quantity of P-DRI to Goa.
— Hare Krishna, a 300 TPD sponge manufacturer in Bellary, Karnataka has offered FeM 80 P-DRI at INR 23,500-23,700/MT ex-plant, an official reported.
Finish Long
— Rathi Steels in North region current offering at INR 42,300/MT, size – 12 mm & excluding 18% GST.
— Central region, Raipur based brand – SPEED TMT unchanged their prices on day basis and current offering at INR 37,700/MT (28 mm), ex-work & excluding GST.
— East Region Based – Shakambhari Ispat & Power Ltd has offered Wire Rod 5.5 mm at INR 43,500/MT, Rebar at INR 41,200/MT (size – 16 mm), ex-work, excluding GST.
— Central region (Raigarh) based Anjani Steels Limited branding Radhe TMT increased their prices by INR 300/MT on day basis and currently offer basic rebar at INR 38,300/MT (Size – 28 MM), ex-work & excluding GST.
— West Region based Bhagwati Ferro Metal (P) Ltd offering basic Rebar (28 mm) at INR 38,200/MT for Mumbai, Ex-work & excluding GST.
— Kalika Steel Alloys in Jalna increased their prices by INR 200-300/MT d-o-d basis & current offering 28mm rebars at INR 38,200/MT ex-plant & excluding GST.
— Gujarat based Shreeyam Power & Steel Industries Ltd branding as National TMT has unchanged their prices on day basis and current offering basic rebar at INR 48,700/MT FoR & including GST at 18%, Size – 20 mm.
— South India – Chennai based ARS Trusteel increased their prices by INR 300/MT on day basis & current offering Rebar 12 MM at INR 43,300/MT, ex-plant & excluding GST.
— Khayati Steel Industries Pvt Ltd (South Region)- offering rebars at INR 51,000/MT (8 mm), Ex-work & including GST.
