Czech Republic has reported drifted up in its Finish long steel imports during the Jan-Jun (H1) of CY18 against the same period of CY17.
As per the customs, the nation has imported about 620,165 MT Finish Long steel in H1 CY18, inclined by 15.65% against 536,216 MT in H1 CY17.
Similarly, on monthly comparison, the Finish long steel imports was elongated by 7.19% to 108,664 MT in Jun’18 as compared to 101,367 MT in May’18 & in line yearly premises it’s been up by 6.73% against 101,809 MT in Jun’17.
Under Finish Long steel commodities following HS codes has been considered – Bar & Rod (HS code 7213 & 7214), MS Wire (HS code 7217) along with Angle & Shapes (HS code 7215 & 7216).
Bar’s & Rods have contributed the major import proportionate during H1 CY18 and registered at 341,864 MT (+28%) followed by Structure (Angle and Shapes) 198,176 MT (+1%) and remaining Wire Rod 80,125 MT (+9%). The changes are mentioned are compared to H1 CY17.

During H1 CY18, the largest exporter of Czech Republic Finish Long Steel was Poland at 226,387 MT (+8.44%), Germany – 119,472 MT (-8%) and Italy – 99,987 MT (+41.7%).
