Czech Republic has reported slight corrections in its Finish long steel exports during the Jan-Jun (H1) of CY18 against the same period of CY17.
As per the customs, the nation has exported about 994,986 MT Finish Long steel in H1 CY18, marginally declined by 1% against 1,007,660 MT in H1 CY17.
However, on monthly comparison, the Finish long steel exports was down by 7.4% to 158,797 MT in Jun’18 as compared to 171,500 MT in May’18 & in line yearly premises it’s been less by 2.18% against 162,343 MT in Jun’17.
Under Finish Long steel commodities following HS codes has been considered – Bar & Rod (HS code 7213 & 7214), MS Wire (HS code 7217) along with Angle & Shapes (HS code 7215 & 7216).
Bar’s & Rods have contributed the major export proportionate during H1 CY18 and registered at 607,056 MT (-3%) followed by Structure (Angle and Shapes) 206,103 MT (-5%) and remaining Wire Rod 181,828 MT (+12%). The changes are mentioned are compared to H1 CY17.
Country Wise
During H1 CY18, the largest importer of Czech Republic Finish Long Steel was Germany – 238,052 MT, Poland at 203,216 MT and Slovakia – 189,804 MT.
