Czech Republic ferrous scrap export increased about 11% & that of finish long by 13% M-o-M in May’19, as per latest data released by custom department

Czech Republic Ferrous scrap exports registered at 0.21 MnT in May’19, increase by 10.52% as against 0.19 MnT in Apr’19.
In line, on yearly basis export increased by 16.6% comparing 0.18 MnT in May’18.
Finish Long Steel
Finish long Steel exports by Czech Republic registered at 0.17 MnT in May’19, surge by 13.3% in comparison with 0.15 MnT in Apr’19.
Whereas on yearly basis exports remain stable with 0.17 MnT as compared to previous year i.e May’18.
The key factor behind increase exports attributed, rising consumption rate in Poland which is seventh largest economy in Europe and elongated by 50% in May’19 and stood at 0.03 MnT as against 0.02 MnT in Apr’19.
Slovakia registered at 0.04 MnT in May’19 stretched up by 33.34% against 0.03 MnT in Apr’19 and Germany which is the notified the largest importer of finish long steel is registered at 0.05 MnT in May’19 moved up by 25% against 0.04 MnT.
However Czech Republic Crude steel productions in May’19 observed marginal down and stood at 0.4 MnT against 0.42 MnT in Apr’19.
Commodity wise
Rebar the major volume in finish long steel registered at 0.11 MnT in May’19 increased by 22.22% against 0.09 MnT in Apr’19 followed by Structure (Angle & channel) and Wire Rod both registered at 0.03 MnT in May’19 which observe stability as against previous month.
