Crude steel production at Chinese mills rose slightly in late May – CISA

The average daily output of crude steel at Chinese mills stood at 2.31 mnt in late May’22, as per CISA data. In the second half of May, the average daily output was 2.26 mnt, an increase of 2.11% m-o-m but a decline of 1.53% y-o-y. The average daily output of pig iron in late May was 2.04 mnt, an increase of 0.78% on the month and 4.33% y-o-y.
