Colombia’s coal production increased 40%, y-o-y, to 13.6 mn t during the Apr-Jun’21 period due to improved output from the La Guajira and Cesar provinces, as per latest reports. However, total production declined by 2% quarter-on-quarter amid Covid-19 concerns. Coal output from Cerrejon stood at 5.4 mn t in the Apr-Jun’21 period, while Drummond raised its coal output to 7.4 mn t.
