Colombia exported 85.13 MnT of coal in 2016; registering an increase of 13.94% over the imports in 2015, according to the Statistics Department of the country.
In Dec’16, the exports were up at 9.99 MnT; higher by 41% year-on-year, and up by 81.15% month-on-month.
In India too, there has been a growing prominence in importing from Colombia among buyers in India. According to the data available with CoalMint Research, 2.2 MnT of coal was imported into India from Colombia during 2016.
