SCCL Mining Affected by Rains
The recent rains at the Telangana district have impacted coal production at the four open cast mines of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SSCL). According to the estimates, around 25,000 MT of coal per day was impacted by the rain.
Coal Exports from Gladstone Port Sink 3% in Jul’17 M-o-M
In July’17, around 6.05 MnT of coal was shipped out from the Gladstone port in Australia. The volume was down by 3% from Jun’17, but up by 6% from July’16. Out of the volume in July’17, 4.2 MnT was Coking Coal, and the rest 1.8 MnT was Non Coking Coal.
As a matter of fact, Japan normally receives the highest share of coal exports from the port, while China, India and South Korea receive the rest.
Mongolian Coal Exports Up
Coal exports from Mongolia to China are on a rising note. During the Jan-Jul’17 period, Mongolia exported around 20.85 MnT of coal to China, and that was up by 73% against the exports in the same period of the last year.
