India has imported around 6.93 MnT coal till April 19, 2013out of which non coking coal stands around 5.88 MnT and remaining 1.05 MnTaccounts for coking coal. The major exporting countries are Indonesiawhich has exported about 4.57 MnT, than comes South Africa 1.16, MnT , Australiawith nearly 0.86 MnT and rest from other country.
From 1 to 19 March’13 India has imported around 4.06MnT coals which include around 3.35 MnT of non coking coal and near about 0.71MnT of coking coal.
