Coal demand from Kandla increases on the back of closure of Navlakhi Port

Following the news of May 24, 2013 Navlakhi port: Stuck 7 Lakh Mt. coal needs to move soonest

SteelMint has found that due to the coal being stuck at Navlakhi Port discharge of coal from kandla Port has increased also which has its impact in the prices. Prices of coal has witnessed an increase in the range of Rs 200-300/metric ton (MT).  Navlakhi Port on average dispatches 5000-6000 MT of coal (Non-Coking Coal) every day.
