Ukrainian steel and mining major Metinvest has reported H1 CY20 crude steel output at 3.96 mn t – up 1% from 3.92 mn t in H1 CY19. However, crude steel production dropped 17% to 1.79 mn t in Apr-Jun’20 from 2.17 mn t in Jan-Mar’20. Production of iron ore concentrates slid by 1% in Q2 CY20 to 7.56 mn t from 7.60 mn t in the previous quarter.
