CIS: Metalloinvest posts 2.6% decline in crude steel output in Q1 CY ’21

Russian steelmaker Metalloinvest has released its quarterly report for the first quarter of CY ’21. The key highlights are as follows:

• Crude steel production fell by 2.6% y-o-y to 1.23 mn t.
• Hot metal production stood at 558,000 t, down by 19% y-o-y.
• HBI/DRI production dropped by 1.4% y-o-y to 2.05 mn t.
• Steel product shipments registered 10% y-o-y fall to 1.1 mn t.
