CIL's new pricing will largely impact the linkage coal prices of low grade. As being learned, F grade Gevra Mines (SECL) linkage will now be offered at Rs.1320 (Basic, taxes extra) from earlier Rs. 740 i.e. an increment of Rs 580 per tonne. However Barod Mines F grade (SECL) will see a increment of Rs. 240 due to its low GCV.
As discussed with a trader who deals in SECL, “The new prices will majorly raise the linkage coal prices in the range of 30-60%”. He also added that due to low clarity on the new price, trading of coal has being put on hold. Normal increment of 30% hike in all grade is expected to be seen.
