China registered a downfall of about 38% in Met coke export during Apr’16 against Mar’16. Surging domestic demand caused plunge in international sendouts.
China, the prime Met coke exporter and producer, traded about 0.69 MnT of coke worldwide in Apr’16 against 1.12 MnT in the previous month. As showed by information discharged by China customs, the country’s coke export fell by 38% on monthly premises and a marginal decrease of 1% was registered on yearly basis. The country exchanged 1.12 MnT of coke in Mar’16 and 0.7 MnT in Apr’15.

Coke and semi coke trade of the nation was assessed at 3.43 MnT in the initial four months of 2016. The records say that the export grew by 16% against the same period of 2015.
Indian Met coke import
India, one of the prime buyers of Chinese Met coke, had imported 0.38 MnT of Met coke in Apr’16. The country’s month to month coke import rose by about 275% against Mar’16.
SteelMint analyzed that India imported a total of around 0.38 MnT material in Apr’16. Import increased by 38% M-o-M and import from China to also increased to large extent amid of striking high price of the material.
