Yesterday, price of general carbon billet in Tangshan, Changli and Qian’an was settled at RMB 3, 480/MT, ex-factory, up RMB 10/MT. Today, Qian’an area took the lead to increase RMB 10/MT to report at RMB 3, 490/MT in the early trading hours. Transaction on billet was somewhat weak and price of finished steel differs with ups and downs. The specific transactions are as follows:
Billet: Mill straight shipment is weak while warehoused spot offered at RMB 3, 540-3,550/MT with a few transactions. The overall transaction of finished products is weak, and it is expected that the billet will remain stable in the afternoon.
Construction steels: market mainstream price saw an increase of RMB 20/MT than yesterday, and the current market price of rebar HRB400 of big size is at RMB 3,830/MT, small size at RMB 3, 870/MT, while coiled rebar at RMB 3, 920?MT.
Section steel: Price of section steel undergoes narrow adjustment, and were offered with discount for more transaction. The current mainstream quotation of I beam is at RMB 3,800-3,820/MT, channel steel at RMB 3,810-3,820/MT, and angle steel at RMB3,850-3,860/MT with the overall transaction being generally weak.
HRC: Tangshan HRC market rose slightly by RMB 10-20/MT and price of 3.0 mm coil is at RMB 3,780/MT, mainstream price of 5.5mm flattened at RMB 3,760-3,770/MT, while Q345 flattened at RMB 3,920-3,930/MT.
Medium plate: Tangshan mid-plate market rose by 20% compared with yesterday, and now 14-22mm general carbon plate is reported at RMB 3,920/MT, while low alloy plate at RMB 4,120/MT.
