Billet: Yesterday the ex-factory price of general carbon billet in Tangshan, Changli and Qian’an areas was settled at RMB 3,500/MT. In the early morning today, the billet price in Changli rose by RMB 10 to reach RMB 3,510/MT and the prices of finished products tend to scale up. Mill direct sales are weak. The ex-warehouse spot is offered at RMB 3,560/MT tax-inclusive with difficulty in transactions. For finished steels, the overall transactions are weak though individual resources are passable. It is expected that the price of billets will increase in the afternoon.
Construction Steel: The mainstream markets in Tangshan slipped by RMB 10, to see price of rebar HRB 400 of big specification offered at RMB 3,810/MT and small specification at RMB 3,930/MT while coiled rebar at RMB 4, 040/MT.
HRC: The price of hot-rolled flat sheet is stable, with 1600 mm wide flat steel by first-tier steel mills offered at RMB 3,760/MT, second-tier steel mill at RMB 3,750/MT and Q345 flat sheet at RMB 3,930/MT.
