Today, billet prices in the Tangshan market (northeast China) saw a sharp increase of RMB 20, against yesterday. The billet transactions were weak, and finished steel prices continue trending upwards. The prices of commonly traded Q235 billet 150mm diameter were reported at RMB 3,500/t ($512/t) in Tangshan, inclusive of 13 % VAT.
