Chinese domestic billet prices rise by RMB 20 ($3)

Billet prices in the Tangshan market (northeast China) rose today by RMB 20 ($3) after falling by RMB 10 yesterday (14 Dec ’20). Moderate transactions were reported in the billet segment while finished steel prices are in a mixed trend. The prices of commonly traded Q235 billet 150mm diameter were reported at RMB 3,650/t ($557/t) in Tangshan, inclusive of 13 % VAT.
