Chinese domestic billet prices fall further following slide in futures

Today, billet prices in the Tangshan market, saw a further decline of RMB 30, against yesterday, as Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) plunged by around RMB 60 d-o-d, yesterday. The billet transactions were weak amid uncertain steel demand outlook. The prices of commonly traded Q235 billet 150mm diameter were reported at RMB 3,450/t ($505/t) in Tangshan, including 13 % VAT.
