Today the billet prices in the Tangshan market (northeast China) opened with a drop of RMB 10 ($1.6), against last week’s closing. The billet transactions were weak, while finished steel prices were trending downwards. The prices of commonly traded Q235 billet 150mm diameter were reported at RMB 4,270/t ($661/t) in Tangshan, inclusive of 13 % VAT.
