Today, billet prices in the Tangshan market (northeast China) plunged by RMB 100 ($15.29) against last week’s closing. The billet transactions were weak, while finished steel prices also saw a downward trend. The prices of commonly traded Q235 billet 150mm diameter were reported at RMB 3,780/t ($578/t) in Tangshan, inclusive of 13 % VAT.
