Today the billet prices in Tangshan shot up by RMB 140/t ($21) d-o-d. The emission cut by 30-50% amongst mills in Tangshan reeling its impact. However, the demand from downstream remained vibrant. The prices of commonly traded Q235 billet 150mm diameter were reported to be at RMB 4,960/t ($756/t) ex Tangshan, including 13 % VAT.
