Chinese coke producers announce price hike of RMB 100/t ($15)

Coke producers in China’s Hebei and Shanxi provinces have announced a price hike of RMB 100/t ($15/t). This is in line with last week’s price hike in the Inner Mongolia region. The key reason for the hike is reduced margins amid elevated coking coal prices along with the fact that coke prices have been reduced by RMB 800/t ($120/t) over the last one month.
