China’s TISCO ships first batch of green stainless steel to Europe

  • 304L stainless steel medium plate produced via EAF route
  • Product complies with EU emission standards

China’s TISCO has successfully shipped its first batch of green stainless steel products to Europe, signalling its strategic entry into the high-end European market. This milestone reflects TISCO’s commitment to sustainable steel production with reduced a carbon footprint, aligning with increasing global demand for environmentally responsible materials.

The exported 304L stainless steel medium plate from TISCO is produced using advanced electric arc furnace technology combined with internationally-leading 4,300mm rolling mills. The entire manufacturing process incorporates building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) solar power, enabling a carbon footprint reduction exceeding 75% compared to conventional production methods.

This environmentally friendly stainless steel meets stringent European emission standards set by the EU’s CBAM, positioning TISCO competitively in the sustainable materials market.

TISCO’s successful entry, driven by technological innovation and systematic management, turns green transformation into a key market advantage, overcoming the assumed barriers for high-carbon industries. The company plans to continuously expand its green product capacity.
