China’s steel exports down by over 10%, y-o-y, in H1CY22

China’s steel exports aggregated to 33.461 mnt in H1CY22 (Jan-Jun’22), down 10.5% y-o-y, according to the General Administration of Customs, China. Export volumes have fallen due to the decline in global steel prices on dull overseas buying and production cuts. In Jun’22, steel exports stood at 7.557 mnt, down 3% m-o-m against 7.76 mnt in May.
