China’s ship-building orders decline 43% y-o-y in Jan-Jul’22

China’s total ship-building orders fell by 43.1% y-o-y to 25.72 million dwt in Jan-Jul’22, as per China Shipbuilding Industry Association data.
Completed orders were 20.85 million dwt, a decrease of 13.8% y-o-y.
Orders in hand in end-Jul’22 were at 103.66 million dwt, a y-o-y increase of 15.6% y-o-y.
Completed ship export orders totalled 17.95 million dwt in Jan-Jul’22, down 20.8% y-o-y.
