China’s Shandong province stocks up sufficient coal for peak winter consumption

The Shandong province in east China has stocked up sufficient coal for the winter season’s peak consumption period (Dec’22 -Jan’23). As of 13 Nov, Shandong Energy Group, responsible for 98% of the coal storage for power and heat plants in the province, stockpiled 6.68 mnt of coal. This is equal to nearly 20 days of operations at key power plants.
