China’s largest EAF steelmaker- Shagang group hikes its scrap purchase price by RMB 80/t ($12) for all grades. The price for HMS (6-10 mm) now stands at RMB 2,720/t ($406), inclusive of 13% VAT, delivered to headquarters. Prices have increased amid decline in stocks and sharp increase in billet prices post Chinese holidays.
