China’s rebar production stood at 226.381 mnt in Jan-Dec’23, down by 2.1% y-o-y compared to the same period last year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). While, wire rod production edged down by 0.2% y-o-y to 137.351 mnt in the period under review. Rebar production dropped 7.2% y-o-y in Dec’23, to 17.64 mnt, while wire rod production rose 1.5% y-o-y to 10.833 mnt.
