In April 2013, rise in China's crude steel production accounted for an increase in domestic Pig iron output.
China produced a total of 60.652 MnT of Pig iron in April, up by 6% Y-o-Y.
And, crude steel production moved up by 6.8% Y-o-Y to 65.65 MnT (daily output 2.1883 MnT, monthly increase was 2.33%).
In January to April 2013, China's Pig iron production rose by 7.0% Y-o-Y to a total of 238,878 MnT.
Whereas, crude steel output met with an increase of 8.4% Y-o-Y to 258.152 MnT in the first four months of 2013.
