China’s pig iron imports in Jun’20 rise sharply y-o-y

Pig iron imports by China during Jun’20 witnessed a sharp growth to 647,628 t as against 25,957 t in the same period last year, according to the data maintained with SteelMint. Also, the same grew by 145% m-o-m as compared to May’20 when imports stood at 264,698 t. Demand recovery post pandemic resulted in increased imports.
