China’s iron ore imports rise nearly 7% y-o-y in Jan-Feb’23

China, the world’s largest iron ore consumer and importer, recorded imports of iron ore (including pellets) at 194.2 mnt in Jan-Feb’23, as per data from the General Administration of Customs. Imports increased by 7.3% y-o-y. The country recorded imports of iron ore (including pellets) at 1.12 bnt in 2022, lower by 1.5% y-o-y.
