China’s daily coal production has risen over 12 mnt, as per state planner NDRC. Production reached 12.2 mnt on 20 Feb’22, with output from Shanxi and Shaanxi remaining at high levels of 3.5 mnt and 2 mnt, respectively. Production in Inner Mongolia exceeded 3.7 mn t following cessation of snowfall. The government is aiming to increase coal output ahead of the summer season.
