China’s crude steel output up 5% y-o-y in CY’20

China’s crude steel output has reached 1.05 bn t in the year CY’20, up 5.2% y-o-y, according to the recent data by the country’s National Bureau of Statistics. The production volumes in Dec’20 grew by 7.7% year on year to 91.3 mn t. Robust demand and increased capacity utilization resulted in increased output.
