China’s crude steel output falls for the fifth month in a row in Oct’21

China’s crude steel output fell for the fifth consecutive month in Oct’21. Steel production was recorded at 71.58 mn t are down by 3% on a monthly and 23% on an annual basis. Tightening of production curbs and restrictions on usage of electricity in CY’21 weighed on the volumes. Cumulative output in Jan-Oct’21 stands around 877 mn t.
