China’s crude steel output drops 4%, m-o-m, to 83.24 mn t in Aug’21

China’s crude steel output dropped 4% to 83.24 mn t in Aug’21 compared to 86.79 mn t in Jul, as per National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) data.

• On an annual basis, steel output dipped 12% against 94.85 mn t in Aug’20
• Total output stands at 733.02 mn t for the Jan-Aug’21 period, down 13%, y-o-y, as against the corresponding period last year.
