China’s crude steel output down 2% y-o-y in CY’22

China’s crude steel production dropped by 2.1% y-o-y to 1,013 mnt in CY’22, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.

The country’s crude steel output in Dec’22 was recorded at 77.89 mnt, down 9.8% y-o-y. However, the volume rose by 4% m-o-m as compared to 74.54 mnt in Nov’22.
