China’s coal imports rise by 13% y-o-y in Jan-Jul’24

In Jan-Jul’24, China imported 295.78 mnt of coal and lignite, up by 13.25% y-o-y compared to 261.17 mnt in Jan-Jul’23, according to data from the General Administration of Customs. Moreover, imports increased by 3.60% m-o-m to 46.21 mnt in Jul’24, compared to 44.60 mnt in Jun’24.
