China’s chrome ore imports increased by 8% m-o-m to 1.43 mn t in May’22 from 1.31 mnt in Apr. However, on a yearly basis, imports decreased by 1% to 6.45 mnt in Jan-May. The major exporting countries to China were South Africa at 1.2 mnt, up 24%, followed by Turkey at 650,000 t, down by 57% in May.
