China’s Apr’21 imports of chrome ore and ferro chrome increased by 31% and 19% respectively m-o-m, as per latest customs data. China imported higher volumes of chrome ore as ferro chrome production picked up in the southern provinces of the country. Moreover, increased demand from stainless steel mills, and lower production in Inner Mongolia during Mar’21, contributed to higher ferro chrome imports in Apr’21.
