China’s unwrought copper imports stood at 480,000 t, a rise of 15% as compared to 420,000 t in Aug’24, driven by seasonal demand and an improved consumption outlook. Overall, copper imports in the first nine months (Jan-Sep’24) touched 4.09 mnt, a 2.5% increase from 3.99 mnt in the CPLY. Additionally, copper concentrate imports totalled 21.06 mnt in 9MCY’24, up 3.7% from the previous year.
