In China’s met coke market, a price cut of RMB 200/t ($30/t) was proposed by steel mills in Hebei and Shandong provinces. If accepted, it will be a total cut of RMB 500/t ($74/t) in Jun. The price of met coke at Hebei’s Tangshan stood at RMB 3,200/t ($476/t) on 21 Jun. Prices are falling amid slowdown in steel demand in China even after the easing of lockdown restrictions.
