China: Steel mills propose fourth round of met coke price cut

Some Chinese mills in the Hebei region, particularly the Xingtai and Tianjin area, have proposed a price reduction of RMB 50-55/t ($6.99-7.69/t) effective from 15 Aug’24. The price for wet quenched met coke will be reduced by RMB 50/t, and dry quenched met coke by RMB 55/t. The third round of price cut had landed on 12 Aug.
